Area Manager

Heritage PS Talent Solutions are thrilled to be working in partnership with a very well established, and highly successful equipment rental business in the UK. With full coverage across the South East of England, you will be required to nurture and foster relationships, developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.

Main duties of the Area Manager role:

• The successful Area Manager will play a pivotal role in the level of service offerings to your clients.
• You will be responsible for maintaining, managing and growing your customer portfolio in the South-East.
• You’ll spend most of your time visiting your customers to demonstrate solutions. 
• The role is far from traditional cold calling, you will be nurturing and fostering relationships, developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
• You'll be happy getting your hands dirty but also adaptable in your approach to the customer in front of you as it could be a senior management team one day to a site manager the next, finding yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses.

Requirements of the Area Manager role:

• It is essential to have extensive experience in the Rental Market of Plant equipment
• Technical knowledge of equipment
• Knowledge of the construction industry and its market is required
• Negotiation skills at all levels, good presentation skills and influencing techniques
• Proven ability to build relationships and win new business
