Heritage PS Talent Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager who has extensive knowledge within the Nuclear industry to join them to support the company growth. The successful applicant can be based anywhere in the UK, as the role is selling into businesses in the Nuclear industry across the UK & Europe.
The successful applicant will perform and lead commercial missionary work, develop the sales team, and provide in-field application support. You will collaborate with the global product, outside sales, and operations teams to develop and execute market-specific strategies.
The main purpose of this role is to achieve sustained growth, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction for the UK and Northern Europe Nuclear and emerging energy transition markets.
Main duties of the Business Development Manager:
Selling the features, functions, and benefits of valves to the assigned market, you will engage in and reflect a culture of strong leadership, innovation and continuous improvement, talent development and disciplined practices and processes that deliver results.
The main duties of the Business Development Manager role include;
• Extensive knowledge of the UK and Northern Europe Nuclear sector & market strategy and planning experience
• Gather and analyse market, customer, and competitor intelligence to identify and quantify opportunities for growth in new and emerging markets.
• Gather the voice of customers & insights of key stakeholders.
• Define value proposition / product differentiation that provides competitive advantage.
• Develop, maintain, and gain approval for market strategies and plans.
• Define and drive market roadmap initiatives through project teams to achieve growth plans.
• Identify new markets and quantify opportunities.
• Collaborate internally and externally to scope & define product requirements.
• Provide technical and commercial support to Sales and Operations
• Assist with development of promotional strategies based on marketing research
• Provide direction to Marketing communications for sales collateral.
• Support promotion of the product externally with customers, partners, & media
• Deliver Product training (internal & external)
Requirements of the Business Development Manager:
The successful applicant will have measurable experience or domain knowledge of the Nuclear and emerging technologies market in the UK and Northern Europe along with its submarkets.
Success in this role requires a comprehensive understanding of market conditions and customer needs, combined with in depth technical knowledge of the valve products that serve the Nuclear market.
You will need to hold a full, valid UK Driving license to be considered for this role.
You will be highly experienced within the below area’s;
• Business development
• Strategic product pricing
• Product value engineering tools and techniques
• Influencing, cross functional team experience
• Technical and commercial product experience with engineered-to-order and configured-to-order products
• Technical and Commercial understanding of distribution sales strategies, price lists and selling strategy through sales representatives.
• ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code section III knowledge desirable
The successful applicant will hold;
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Development, or related field
• 10+ years’ experience in an outside sales or business development role
• Five plus years of relevant experience working for an original equipment manufacturer.
• Valve product and market knowledge in Nuclear Sector
