Fleet and Maintenance Officer

Heritage PS Talent Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an experienced and successful Fleet and Maintenance Officer with extensive experience within the Automotive industry to join my client’s successful team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Main duties of the Fleet & Maintenance Officer:

• Reporting to the Head of Rental, the Fleet & Maintenance officer is responsible for ensuring appropriate systems, controls and processes are applied relating to vehicle & trailer, PMI checks, full vehicle maintenance, MOT testing, full asset maintenance and loler testing of all equipment working across hire contracts within the business.
• You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost effective management and administration of the rental fleet.
• Control of all costs relating to scheduling & compliance, servicing, repairs and breakdowns.
• Ensuring that the rental fleet is managed in line with all legal and manufacturer requirements.
• Delivering class leading customer service both externally and internally
• Conducting regular quality audits with customer and supplier paperwork.

Requirements of the Fleet & Maintenance Officer:

• HGV technical knowledge and confidence to understand how and why a truck repair is required.
• Previous rental experience desirable.
• Self-motivated and organised with excellent time management skills, a change agent who responds and adapts well to changing priorities.
