Heritage PS Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our successful and forward thinking Retail client in Leeds for an experienced Head of Merchandising within the Supply Chain sector to work closely with  the Mechanising Director, and to head up a very successful existing team.

Requirements of the Head of Merchandising :

• Stock management.
• Develop and implement new strategies to minimise markdown whilst remaining within KPIs and targets of the business 
• Ensure a great customer experience 
• Resolving issues through supplier/stakeholder liaison to achieve on time launches.
• Manage all the product system set ups 
• Manage catalogues and web stock
• Oversee supply chain including freight forwarding/ documentation, purchase order placement, delivery schedules, stock receipts & adjustments, retail replenishment.
• Manage Merchandising of product additions and deletions
• Managing seasonal capacity planning
• Price list and deal management 

Experience required of the Head of Merchandising:

• A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role at a senior level 
• Experience successfully managing a team
• Be knowledgeable around technical, legal and compliance obligations within your role
• Experience within Buying at a senior level 
• Hold a relevant qualification 
• Have experience working closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers alike
• You must hold a valid UK driving license
