About the Role
Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client.
Heritage PS Talent Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to work with our well established Manufacturing client in Batley, West Yorks on a full-time, temporary basis. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and with 3 direct reports the main purpose of the role is to provide a quality human resources service and single point of contact for all HR queries to all levels of the Company, to the direction of the Managing Director and the Operations Director.
Main duties of the HR Manager:
- Organise and represent the HR function in the recruitment of staffing appointments staff.
- Creating advertisement vacancies, job specifications and descriptions.
- Provide support and advice to senior managers through the recruitment process.
- Liaison with employment agencies, media and technical colleges.
- Interview and selection of appointments.
- Organise offer letters and take-up of references.
- Organise Inductions and start dates, and any immediate training requirements.
- Providing guidance to the Senior Management team specifically on critical and sensitive people issues
- Implement the administration of annual pay reviews for all hourly paid personnel.
- Participating in investigations and disciplinary hearings with managers and Directors.
- Maintaining and participating in the development of corporate HR policies / procedures agreements.
- Organise and implement the apprenticeship programme.
- Responsibility for 3 members of staff
- Liaison with Directors and Senior Managers to ensure that all training activities are undertaken within targets and budgets.
- Strategic planning and delivery of all training and development activities, tailored to the needs of the Company.
- Representing HR function in liaisons with technical colleges for apprenticeship scheme.
- Investigating Grant award schemes in liaison with Government bodies and Training providers.
Requirements of the HR Manager:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working within a Senior HR Management role
- Management experience of a small team
- CIPD level 5 or higher
- A strong understanding of HR practices, ER and employment law
- Experience working within a Manufacturing environment
Benefits of the HR Manager role:
- Full time, permanent role
- Salary up to £45,000 PA DOE
