About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to work closely with and support the Head of Planning in providing strategic decision making across the key categories within the business with main areas on Strategy, Planning, Stock and Trade.
- Review previous seasons and produce SWOT analysis to improve and plan.
- Assist in creating the group mix strategy for the category across all channels.
- Ensure the Buy matches the signed off Buy Plan.
- Populate the WSSIs with budget/forecast KPIs.
- Plan Intake on WSSIs before official orders are raised.
- Manage Line Cards.
- Proposals for rebuys, deferment, cancellation.
- Review trading performance.
- Analyse trial and initiatives to provide clear insight and provide overviews on Markdown events.
Experience required of the Junior Merchandising Manager:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working within Merchandising.
- You will be highly analytical with an eye for detail and the ability to translate data into action points in a concise manner.
- Experience of working within a role with a commercial focus.
- Working with WSSIs is essential for this role.
