About the Role
Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client.
Heritage PS Talent Solutions are thrilled to be working in partnership with a very well established, and highly successful manufacturing business in Wakefield to recruit for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Main duties of the Management Accountant:
The successful Management Accountant will report directly into the Finance Controller and be required to follow out the following duties;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts. Comprising of sales and margin reconciliations, overhead control and review, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with the preparation of the board pack report
- Variance analysis to support monthly management accounts
- Provide and further develop insightful reporting & analysis, provide challenge and general financial support to ensure robust cost control and alignment to strategic plans.
- Processing subcontractor invoices, preparation of subcontractor accrual for month end.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Periodic overhead reviews
- Support the wider finance team covering accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
- Assist with the annual budget process
Requirements of the Management Accountant role:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, engineering and/or construction
- Experience in working independently and as part of a team
- Advanced experience in working with excel
- Preferably part or fully qualified or finalist (CIMA or equivalent)
Benefits of the Management Accountant role:
- Salary dependant on experience up to £45,000 PA
- Full CIMA or ACCA study support, if required
