Mechanical Project Manager

Our client provide Mechanical and Electrical Building Services from design, through to supply, installation and commissioning across various sectors including Multiroom Highrise, Commercial & Industrial projects with typical contracts values ranging from £500k up to £10m.

The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the design, procurement, installation, commissioning & handover demonstrations of projects assigned to them, ensuring that high quality, compliant installations are delivered on behalf of the Client

Main responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Manager:

• Overseeing the project from involvement overseeing the design, through to construction, commissioning, handover & Demonstrations

• Production of Risk and Method Statements

• Maintain on-site health and safety requirements and ensure quality assurance & completing H&S Site Reports

• Checking of design drawings and value engineering where possible

• Attending site team meetings

• Preparing and monitoring of Contract programmes and progress reports

• Procurement of plant and materials in line with specification, drawings and cost plan.

• Procuring and managing of subcontractors

• Preparing cost forecast and recording / costing of variations

• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, Quantity Surveyors and other third parties

• Management of site team

• Achieving project milestones and deadlines

• Overseeing & Maintaining Quality Control

What we are looking for in a Mechanical Project Manager:

• Proven experience in running Multiroom (preferred), Commercial & Industrial projects.
• Using specifications & drawings to put together project plans including times lines and expected costings.

• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience with a strong understanding of building and Mechanical services and knowledge of relevant codes, practices regulations & legislation

• Experience in running multiroom projects including High Rise Apartments, Student Accommodation & Care Homes.

• Experience running multiple projects at any one time

• Willing to travel as projects can be national

• Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and with an attention to the finer details
