About the Role

We seek a motivated Operations Manager to lead and support our well established clients operational endeavours, driving efficiency and implementing change strategies. Reporting to the Operations Director and collaborating closely with the Finance and Technical Directors, your responsibilities include coordinating operations, managing budgets, enforcing policies, analysing costs, and ensuring top-notch customer service through streamlined production.

Your role demands a dynamic approach to enhance staff productivity, service quality, and financial sustainability. Strong communication, business acumen, financial proficiency, and leadership are essential, along with adeptness in change management.

 

Main duties of the Operations Manager:
  • Continuously analyse production and operations.
  • Manage production workflow and scheduling for optimal efficiency.
  • Allocate resources to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate on sustainability and growth initiatives.
  • Execute strategic plans and departmental enhancements.
  • Enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure transparency with back-office functions.
  • Drive profit through efficiency improvements.
  • Support operational changes to meet business demands.
  • Assist in compliance and approval processes.
  • Aid in warranty resolution.
Requirements of the Operations Manager:
  • Business administration degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficiency in production planning, especially in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with planning software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to work with standard costing and variation analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various business functions.
  • Data management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Customer service excellence.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
