Heritage PS Talent Solutions are thrilled to be working in partnership with a very well established, and highly successful manufacturing business in Leicester to recruit for an experienced Print Technical Service Operator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Main duties of the Print Technical Service Operator :
The appointed candidate will be responsible for managing technical information related to label production, collaborating closely with the Technical Service team.
You will receive task directives from their line manager, participate in meetings, complete performance reviews, and handle other administrative duties as required.
Additionally, you will undertake general responsibilities as instructed by their line manager and efficiently operate within the preproduction environment, providing assistance to colleagues as needed.
- Gathering data from customers for new items.
- Generating Master Estimates, Production Estimates, and item
- Implementing the process for the EMEA region in collaboration with the manager.
- Managing revision levels and item obsolescence.
- Ensuring accurate cost capture.
- Making combi decisions and processing items for combi print when necessary.
- Cultivating effective internal customer-supplier relationships and fostering teamwork in alignment with management.
- Conducting technical-level pre-flighting of artwork.
- Ensuring production meets the highest quality standards and adheres to SOP guidelines and customer requirements within the Technical Service team.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and charter projects
- Engaging in company quality programs such as Internal Audits, Calibration, JDI, Gemba walks, and 5S events to identify and address any problems or deviations from standards.
Requirements of the Print Technical Service Operator role:
- A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
- Extensive experience within the manufacturing industry
- Print and packaging experience
- Possess proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications; familiarity with Apple/MAC systems is advantageous.
- Be willing to travel as needed & must hold a valid UK driving license and have your own transport.
