About the Role

Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client.

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with our West Yorkshire based client within the Construction industry to recruit for an experienced Project Manager. Specialising in diverse off site construction projects within Healthcare, Education, Housing, and Sports sectors. The vacancy opening is due to their expansion and sustained business growth, and they now seek a Project Manager from offsite construction to oversee pivotal projects and manage the projects department.

 

Main duties of the Project Manager:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage projects across various sectors from tender closure to completion.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Implement Health & Safety protocols and oversee site security for all projects.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met company-wide.
  • Set and manage budgets for different project components while ensuring compliance.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee contractual aspects, negotiating subcontract orders with competitive terms.
  • Establish and finalise terms and conditions, including payment agreements with clients.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual timelines and compliance with terms.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance standards (ISO 9001) throughout project lifecycles.
  • Monitor and manage payments within contracted terms.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain statutory registers and oversee assessments and recordings as required b regulations (COSHH, Noise, Asbestos, etc.).
  • Implement safe working methods and oversee welfare facilities standards.
  • Ensure availability and maintenance of First Aid equipment and cover on project sites.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with main contractors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination

 

Requirements of the Project Manager:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within building engineering, specialising in new builds and refurbishments.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts, with proven experience in contract management.
  • Familiarity with modular or offsite construction methods preferred.
  • Project management expertise with a focus on cost control and contractual obligations.
  • Professional qualification in a construction-related discipline is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
  • Efficient in managing project budgets and resources.
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
