Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client to recruit for an experienced Sales & Operations Planner to join our well-established manufacturing client in Cannock, West Midlands. The successful candidate will support the Sales & Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.



Main duties of the S&O Planner:


•    Take a lead role in shaping and implementing S&OP protocols by understanding business and customer needs.
•    Contribute to enhancing the ERP system to enhance forecast accuracy and S&OP efficiency.
•    Collaborate closely with sales teams to grasp customer ordering patterns and drive improvements in order accuracy.
•    Assess sales demand, identifying assumptions, trends, constraints, and opportunities to develop and communicate supply plans to key stakeholders across operations, sales, procurement, distribution, and finance.
•    Analyse sales trends to pinpoint key drivers of sales for critical products.
•    Detect and address abnormal demand to pre-empt downstream issues.
•    Forge close partnerships with our sites to ensure adherence to production plans and comprehend reasons for deviations, assessing potential impacts on stock and service levels.
•    Develop scenario plans to assess and manage constraints and opportunities, demonstrating agility in evaluating the repercussions of demand or supply changes and offering recommendations.
•    Vigilantly monitor and challenge adherence to sales and production plans.
•    Disseminate stock availability data.
•    Establish and maintain a business performance scorecard.
•    Foster robust communication channels across all departments.



Requirements of the S&O Planner:


o    Proven experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
o    Advanced analytical capabilities
o    Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data to drive decision-making and recommendations
o    Commitment to continuous improvement, employing a data-driven and evidence-based approach
o    Strong communication and engagement proficiencies
o    Solid grasp of commercial principles and business acumen
o    Familiarity with ERP systems, forecasting techniques, and capacity planning modules
o    Eagerness to cultivate robust relationships with customers and suppliers
o    Skill in building and leveraging a strong professional network
o    Background within manufacturing environments
o    Proficiency Integrated Business Planning concepts
