About the Role
Heritage PS Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client.
We are thrilled to be working in partnership with our well established client within the Steel industry to recruit for an experienced Business Development / Sales Executive to join their successful team on a full time, permanent basis.
As a member of the Aberdeen team, you will thrive in generating and finalising new opportunities within the steel sales sector. Utilising a consultative sales approach, your expertise will be crucial in identifying and qualifying leads, resulting in sales opportunities with both new and existing clients. Specifically, we would love to speak with candidates with exceptional talent and experience in technical/steel sales, particularly in the Oil & Gas, Offshore Engineering, Power-Gen, Defence, and Renewable Energy sectors.
Main duties of the Business Development Executive:
- Exceed predefined sales targets.
- Develop new business within assigned sales territories.
- Effectively promote the product range and services.
- Successfully cultivate business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Evaluate and present new business prospects, concepts, and opportunities.
- Contribute to sales and marketing strategies within designated territories.
- Handle intricate negotiations with mid/senior-level executives.
- Establish enduring relationships with clients built on trust and rapport.
- Work collaboratively towards team success and common objectives.
- Support local, national, and international sales initiatives by participating in project bids.
- Apply a technical approach to diversify sales through various applications.
- Identify opportunities for value-added sales and introduce them effectively.
- Oversee project management and administrative tasks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Engage with customers and represent the business at trade fairs to promote our services.
Requirements of the Business Development Executive:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a Sales or Business Development role.
- At least 2 years of experience in steel sales is essential
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas in steel sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about steel grades, qualities, and applications.
- Technical mindset to assess product applications and offer suitable solutions.
